Schwarzenegger has been pursuing a political career for the last year

The producers of the next Terminator film want star Arnold Schwarzenegger to take a part in it - even though he is now governor of California.

Talks are under way for Terminator 3 director Jonathan Mostow to return for a further sequel(续集，结局) in the series which made Schwarzenegger a household name.

"We're certainly talking to Arnold and his people," a spokesman for the film's financers said.

A Schwarzenegger advisor ruled out(排除，取消) anything but a cameo role(小配角).

《终结者4》的制片人希望影星阿诺德·施瓦辛格能够在影片中出演一个角色，尽管他现在已经是加里福尼亚州州长。

关于邀请《终结者3》的导演乔纳森·莫斯托再度出马执导《终结者》续集一事尚在洽谈中，正是这部系列影片使施瓦辛格的名字家喻户晓。

Dennis Higgins, the spokesman for the film's financers, said Mostow was overseeing the draft of a script by writers John Brancato and Michael Ferris, who wrote Terminator 3's screenplay.

The Terminator series is one of the most successful film franchises ever.

Terminator 2: Judgement Day grossed $500 million, while Terminator 3 took $427 million around the world.

But Schwarzenegger said he would put his film career on hold(控制，延缓) when he was elected governor of California in November.

Paul Wachter, Schwarzenegger's personal financial advisor, refused to rule out a cameo, but dismissed anything more than that.

He said: "Is it realistic that while he is in office, he takes a starring role? Hardly." 

但是施瓦辛格曾经表示，从去年11月当选为加州州长起，他将暂缓自己的电影事业。

施瓦辛格的私人理财顾问保罗·瓦赫特并没有排除阿诺出演小配角的可能性，但他排除了任何更多可能性。
